ABOUT ABOUT

CLICK "READ MORE" FOR FILM SCREENING TIMES.    The Chaos Film Festival is excited to bring independent genera films to rural Southern Ohio.  Our mid-October event showcases horror, sci-fi, action and cult cinema in both short and feature lengths.

Chaos is actually a festival wrapped inside a festival...  Just outside the doors of the historic Paxton Theatre you'll find yourselves immersed in the action and culture of the annual Fall Festival of Leaves, bringing tens of thousands of visitors to the Village of Bainbridge each year.

Your $10 day pass allows you to choose which films you would like to screen and pop in and out at your convenience.  Watch as many or as little as you choose!

About the Paxton Theatre:  In the November election of 1907 the residents of Paxton Township marked their ballots in support of erecting a new township hall on the corner of Main & Maple streets. The new Paxton Township Hall featured a large theatre seating over 500. Early shows included live theatre, movies, minstrels, vaudevilles, magic shows and other entertainment. The early 60’s brought the start of the Paint Valley Jamboree, currently operating in its 67th continuous season.  Once rooted in traditional country music the Jamboree featured country music's greatest, in their prime...  Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, Conway Twitty, Minnie Pearl, Little Jimmy Dickens, Buck Owens, and so many more...  Today, the Jamboree presents a monthly show titled "Fifty/50" featuring classic rock, country, and R&B hits on the second Saturday of each month.  Events like children's musical theatre, movie fests, cabarets, lectures, and holiday shows round out the seasons offerings.
